BREAKING NEWS! It has just been announced that Steam Engine #18 will be powering Fillmore & Western Railway Co.'s June 13th Sunday Honey & Wine Express Excursion Train from Fillmore to Santa Paula! This is #18's goodbye run from Fillmore on her way back to Nevada. She will be dropped off in Santa Paula and one of our diesel engines will be bringing the train back to Fillmore. The train will depart Fillmore at 12noon. It includes a stop in Santa Paula and a stop at the Loose Caboose Gift Shop and Garden Center. The train will return to Fillmore at approximately 3:30pm. The steam locomotive is the #18, a former McCloud River Railroad property. It was sold to the Nevada State Railroad Preservation and is at Fillmore & Western Railway for a few months during production of a major feature film. The steam locomotive is a 02-08-02. Fillmore & Western is an active railroad and cannot accommodate fans in the railyard. The Steam locomotive is on site for a movie production and unfortunately is not available for public viewing
